Applied for the latest Kosamattam Finance NCD issue? Find out how to check allotment status, receive interest payouts, trade on BSE, and manage your investment after listing.
If you applied to Kosamattam Finance's latest NCD issue, here's the short version: your investment is now live on BSE. This post walks you through exactly what happens from here, allotment, interest payments, selling options, and who to contact if something needs attention.
The Issue at a Glance
Our 37th NCD issue since 2014 opened on May 18, 2026, and closed on May 25, 2026. The NCDs are listed on BSE from May 28, 2026, at a face value of ₹1,000 per NCD, with a yield of up to 10.47% per annum. The issue carries an IND A/Stable rating from India Ratings, a rating assigned by a SEBI-recognized credit rating agency, reflecting our stable financial position as an RBI-registered NBFC.
What Does "Listed on BSE" Mean for You?
Think of listing like this: your NCD, which was a private application until now, is now a publicly tradeable security. Anyone can buy or sell it on BSE, just like a share.
From this point on, you have two choices:
-
Hold to maturity - collect interest as scheduled and get your principal back at the end of the tenure. This is the simpler path for most retail investors.
-
Sell on BSE - exit before maturity by selling to another buyer on the exchange through a SEBI-registered broker.
One important thing to know: the market price of your NCD may not always be exactly ₹1,000. It can trade at a premium (above ₹1,000) or a discount (below ₹1,000), depending on market conditions, interest rate movements, and demand. More on this below.
How to Check Your Allotment Status
The official registrar for this issue is KFin Technologies. Here's how to check whether your NCDs have been allotted:
-
Visit ipostatus.kfintech.com
-
Select the Kosamattam Finance NCD issue from the dropdown
-
Enter your PAN number to look up your application status
-
NCDs will be credited to your demat account within 2 business days of allotment (by May 27, 2025)
If you see a discrepancy, wrong quantity, demat account not updated, or no credit, email KFin directly at kosamattam.ncd@kfintech.com.
When and How Will You Receive Interest?
This depends on the series you chose when you applied.
If You Chose Monthly Payout
Interest will be credited directly to your registered bank account every month. Your first payout will arrive one month from the deemed date of allotment. The exact amount depends on the series and the total amount you invested in.
Make sure the bank account linked to your demat account is active and updated. If there's a mismatch, your interest credit may be delayed.
If You Chose the Cumulative Option
You will not receive periodic interest payments. Instead, the principal plus accumulated interest is paid together at the time of maturity. The effective yield on the cumulative option is up to 10.41% p.a. compounded, so your money quietly compounds in the background until the NCD matures.
Can You Sell Your NCD Before Maturity?
Yes, through the BSE secondary market, using any SEBI-registered broker. But there are a few honest things worth knowing before you decide:
Liquidity can be limited. NCD secondary markets in India tend to be thinner than equity markets. On some days, there may be very few buyers. This means you might not always get the price you expect, or the trade might take time to execute.
Interest rates affect your NCD price. If market interest rates rise after you buy, the price of your NCD may fall below ₹1,000, because newer bonds offer better rates, and buyers prefer those. If rates fall, your NCD price may rise. This only matters if you sell early; if you hold maturity, you receive the full-face value regardless.
Our recommendation: Unless you have a genuine liquidity need, holding maturity is generally the cleaner option. You earn the full yield, avoid transaction costs, and sidestep secondary market uncertainty.
If you do want to trade your listed Kosamattam NCD on BSE, you'll need a SEBI-registered broker like Acumen Capital Market.
Didn't Get Allotment? Here's What Happens
If your application wasn't allotted (either partially or fully), here's what to expect:
-
The blocked amount via ASBA will be released by your bank within 2-4 business days. No action is needed from your end.
-
If you applied via UPI mandate, it will auto expire, nothing to cancel manually.
-
You can still buy Kosamattam NCDs from the BSE secondary market once trading begins on May 28.
