Accessibility tools on this site
An accessibility toolbar is available on every page. Look for the accessibility button in the corner of the screen. Opening it lets you adjust how the site looks and behaves for you, without changing it for anyone else. Your choices are remembered on your device for your next visit. Available adjustments include:
- Text — increase text size, line, letter and word spacing, thicker text, a simpler font, a dyslexia-friendly font, text alignment, and magnify text on hover.
- Colour — light, dark and high-contrast colour schemes, colour intensity, reversed colours, and clearer highlighting of links and headings.
- Reading & navigation — a larger mouse pointer, a reading line and reading mask, a stronger focus outline, stop moving content, hide images, mute sounds, keyboard shortcuts, and read page text aloud.
- Quick setups — one-tap profiles for low vision, dyslexia, easier focus, seizure safety, screen-reader use and limited mobility.
The toolbar interface is available in English, Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada. The read-aloud feature reads text using your device’s installed English voice.
Please note: this toolbar helps you tailor the display to your needs, but it is an assistive layer on top of the site — it does not, on its own, make the website fully conformant with any accessibility standard, and it is not a substitute for using your own assistive technology such as a screen reader.
Conformance status
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities. We are working towards this standard, and parts of the website may not yet fully conform. Where we fall short, we are committed to fixing issues as we identify them.
Compatibility
The website is designed to work with recent versions of major browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge) on desktop and mobile, and with common assistive technologies such as screen readers. Using the most up-to-date version of your browser and assistive software gives the best experience.
Known limitations
Despite our efforts, some content may not yet be fully accessible. Known areas we are working on include:
- Some older documents (such as PDFs) may not be fully accessible or tagged.
- Certain third-party content or embedded tools may not meet the same standard.
- Read-aloud pronunciation depends on the voices installed on your device and may not be available for every language.
